Do You Remember When?

Neville Goddard’s Best Manifestation Method (in my opinion).

If you’re on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, you might have already encountered the profound teachings of Neville Goddard. His insights into the power that lies within us to reshape our very existence is life-altering!

Neville unveils a truth we often overlook:

We wield an incredible capacity to influence every single facet of our lives. When we grasp this power and engage with our conscious minds we become the masterful creators of our universe, capable of witnessing our desires manifest into reality.

Among the myriad of techniques Neville shared, there’s one that stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness. It’s a method I’ve embraced and applied with astonishing success, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

But first, let’s delve into Neville’s own words on this transformative approach:

“I tell you: everything in your outer world was first subjectively appropriated, I don’t care what it is. Desire can be your empty lot where you may stand, remembering when that which you now have, was only a desire. If I now say: “I remember when I lectured at the Woman’s Club in Los Angeles” I am implying I am no longer there and am where I want to be. Remembering when you were poor, I have taken you out of poverty and placed you in comfort. I remember when you were sick, by taking you out of sickness and placing you in the state of health. I remember when you were unknown, implies you are now known. By changing my memory image of you, I can now remember when you, with all your fame and fortune, were unknown and broke.”

What’s compelling here is Neville’s suggestion that this technique is a powerful tool for personal transformation as well.

Now, let me guide you through the process I use to apply Neville’s method:

Step 1: Identify a specific aspect of your life you wish to transform.

Step 2: Immerse yourself in a vivid visualization where this change is already your reality. Place yourself in the midst of this new scene, engaging all your senses to fully embody this change.

Step 3: Imagine a conversation with a close friend where you reminisce about your past, before this change occurred. Use the ‘remember when‘ narrative to solidify this new reality in your mind.

Example: “Do you remember those days in my old apartment? It’s almost surreal now, living in my dream house. It’s fascinating to think about how much has changed. I might just drive by the old place one of these days out of curiosity. But truly, my new home and community feel so right for me—it’s almost hard to believe I ever lived anywhere else.”

This technique cleverly exploits the subconscious mind’s inability to differentiate between reality and vivid imagination. By presenting a desired future as a past event, you embed it as a deep-seated belief, prompting your mind to manifest it in your external world.

Practical Challenge: 7-Day “Remember When” Journaling Exercise

Objective: To solidify your desired future by framing it as a past event

Materials Needed: A journal or digital notepad.

Duration: 7 days.

Daily Steps:

  1. Morning Reflection (5-10 minutes):

    • Begin each day by identifying a specific aspect of your life you wish to transform. It could be related to your career, relationships, health, or personal goals.
    • Write down your intention clearly. For example, “I desire to feel more confident in public speaking.”
  2. Visualization and Emotional Engagement (10-15 minutes):

    • Dedicate time to vividly visualize this change as if it has already occurred. Imagine yourself in scenarios where this transformation is evident.
    • For public speaking confidence, visualize yourself delivering an engaging speech, receiving applause, and feeling a profound sense of accomplishment.
    • Engage your senses in this visualization. What do you see, hear, and feel? What emotions are you experiencing?
  3. “Remember When” Journaling (10-15 minutes):

    • In your journal, write a “remember when” narrative about your life before this change. Detail your past struggles or limitations as if they are now distant memories.
    • Example entry: “I remember when the thought of public speaking filled me with anxiety. It’s fascinating to reflect on those days now, seeing how far I’ve come. Delivering that keynote speech last month with such confidence and receiving such positive feedback was a turning point for me.”
  4. Evening Reflection (5-10 minutes):

    • Before bed, briefly review your journal entry. Allow yourself to feel gratitude for the growth and changes you’ve journaled about, reinforcing the belief that this transformation is real.
  5. Repeat: Continue this process for a full week, focusing on the same intention or exploring new ones as inspired.

Weekly Review:

  • At the end of the week, reflect on your entries and any shifts in your perception or reality. Note any changes in your feelings, thoughts, or external circumstances related to your intention.

This exercise aims to reprogram your subconscious mind by repeatedly reinforcing the notion that your desired future is already part of your past. Over time, this practice can help bridge the gap between your current reality and the one you wish to manifest, making the latter more attainable in your perception and experience.

With consistent practice, this ‘new reality’ becomes ingrained in your subconscious mind.

By framing your desired future as a chapter that’s already unfolded, you signal to your subconscious mind that you’ve evolved, paving the way for this new reality to manifest.

Dedicate yourself to this practice and watch as the canvas of your life transforms!

Wishing you a journey of joyful manifestation,
